The 79th Independence Day was celebrated at Raashidh Matriculation School with great pride, dignity, and patriotic fervour. It was a day that reminded us of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibility we hold as citizens of this great nation.

The programme commenced with a soulful recitation of Qirath and Tamil Thai Vazhthu, setting a reverent tone for the morning. This was followed by the welcome address, march past, flag hoisting, pledge, and the national anthem, which filled the campus with the spirit of unity and freedom .

We were also privileged to have our Chief Guest, Mr. M.S. Yasin Ahamed, M.Arch., M.S., Managing Director of 4th Dimension Creations Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, and Secretary of Raashideen Trust. In his brief yet inspiring speech, he urged the students to strive for academic excellence while staying rooted in values and love for the nation.

Students presented a variety of cultural performances including an action song, theme-based fancy dress, patriotic songs, a display on the different cultures of India, and a meaningful mime performance. Each presentation reflected love for the nation and celebrated the richness of our heritage.

A special felicitation ceremony recognised the outstanding performance of the Class X batch of 2024–2025, celebrating their excellence, perseverance, and commitment.

Our respected Correspondent Sir addressed the gathering with motivating words, reminding students of the true meaning of freedom and encouraging them to grow as disciplined, responsible citizens.

The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving everyone with a meaningful reminder of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the responsibility each of us carries in building a stronger and brighter nation.
