Children’s Day Celebration 2024

Alhamdulillah! Raashidh Matriculation School, MKB Nagar, Chennai, celebrated Children’s Day with great joy and enthusiasm on 16th November 2024. The event was organized to honour and cherish the spirit of childhood while also instilling values and celebrating the talents of our students.

Objectives of the Programme:
To recognize the importance of children as the future of the nation.
To encourage students to develop their talents and creativity.
To promote a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and cultural values.

Programme Comperes:
Aleena Afaaf. A of Class X (Girls SPL) 
Juveria Anjum A.R. of Class IX (Girls ASPL)

Programme Highlights:
The event commenced at 10:00 a.m. with the recitation and the translation of the Holy Quran by Mohammed Zayan. F. and Muzammil A.N. of Class VII, setting a serene and blessed tone for the day. This was followed by the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, the state anthem.

Welcome Address:
The Boys’ School Pupil Leader, Master Arshath Ahmed. A of Class X A, delivered an eloquent welcome speech, extending warm greetings to all present, including the special invitees—our esteemed alumni from the Class X 2022-2023 batch.

Principal’s Message:
The school principal, Ms. Farida Hayath, addressed the gathering with an inspiring Children’s Day message, emphasizing the value of education and discipline as the building blocks of success.

Vibrant Performances:
Action Song by Class IV & V Girls:
The girls of Classes IV and V showcased a lively action song performance, dressed in vibrant and colourful costumes. Their energy and enthusiasm set the stage ablaze and left the audience spellbound.

Teachers’ Skit:
Our dedicated teachers performed a skit on “Classroom Etiquette,” demonstrating the importance of respect, discipline, and cooperation in a fun and engaging manner.

Children’s Day Speech:
A young speaker from Class III delivered a heartfelt Children’s Day speech, captivating the audience with innocence and wisdom.

Motivational Speeches by the Special Invitees (Our Alumni Class X students, 2022-23 batch):
Special invitees and alumni—Rizwana Fathima M., Hageera Fathima M.A., and Ms. Haniya Ismiya. M. shared their inspiring journeys and valuable advice with the students. Their words left a lasting impression on everyone present.

Correspondent’s Address:
The school correspondent delivered an enlightening Children’s Day message, encouraging students to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.

Competitions and Finale:
The day also witnessed the exciting finale of the Children’s Day competitions for students from LKG to Class X. The themes and categories were thoughtfully designed to promote creativity, confidence, and public speaking skills:

LKG: Rhymes with props
UKG: Storytelling with props
Class I & II: Depicting “Seasons”
Class III–V: Fancy dress on “Viksit Bharat” (Transforming India into a Developed Nation)
Class VI–X: On-the-spot Elocution Competition
Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents and ideas with great zeal. The competition results were announced, and winners were celebrated with Masha Allah for their excellent performances.

Vote of Thanks:
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Master Mohammed Yusuf. Z, expressing gratitude to all contributors for making the day a memorable one. 

The programme ended with the national anthem and the heartfelt Dua Kaffarah.
